Conclusion on classification

Short-term toxicity data exists for three trophic levels. The lowest EC50 was determined for freshwater green algae (72-h ErC50 = 27 mg/L) whereas daphnids and fish were not found sensitive to the substance (48 h-EC50 und 96 h-LC50 > 100 mg/L). For daphnids and freshwater green algae, long-term toxicity data is available. The lowest EC10 was determined for freshwater green algae (72-h ErC10 = 8.1 mg/L) whereas daphnids were found less sensitive (21-d NOEC = 14 mg/L). The substance is not readily biodegradable. In accordance with Regulation (EC) 1272/2006, the substance is classified as H412 - Aquatic Chronic 3.
