First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If the victim is not breathing, give

artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give

oxygen. Obtain medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Check and remove contact lenses. Rinse immediatly with

plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Keep eye wide open

while rinsing. Obtain medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash

off immediately with plenty of water for at least 15

minutes. Obtain medical attention. Wash contaminated

clothing before re-use

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. If victim is conscious, call a

physician immediately.

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide, water spray

Product arising from burning: carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Firefighters should wear full protective clothing including

rubber boots, heavy rubber gloves and self-contained

breathing apparatus

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Spill prevention procedures and a spill response procedure

should be implemented.

Use personnal protective equipment (e.g. tightly fitting

safety goggles, lab coat and impervious gloves).Wear

respiratory protection. Depending on the nature of the

spill, additional protective clothing and equipment, such as

self-contained breathing apparatus, may be needed.

Evacuate area and keep personnel upwind

Wet down any dust to prevent generation of aerosols, if

appropriate. Cover with suitable material.

Contain and collect spillage and place in container for

disposal according to local regulations. Handle waste

materials, including gloves, protective clothing,

contaminated spill cleanup material, etc, as appropriate for

chemically and pharmaceutically similar materials. Use non

sparking tools.

Prevent release to drains and waterways . Prevent release to

the environment.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance will be handled under conditions of good

industrial hygiene and in conformity with local regulations

in order to avoid exposure to the extent technically

feasible. When engineering controls are not sufficient to

control dust exposure, approved respiratory euipment to EN

136, EN 12941 standard should be worn.

The substance should be handled by trained individuals

wearing appropriate personal protective euipment (laboratory

coat EN 340 / low permeability overall EN 465), impervious

nitrile, rubber or latex gloves EN 420, EN 374, safety

glasses with side-shield, face shields or chemical safety

goggles EN 166.

Storage: Store in plastic-lined fibre containers or double

polyethylene liners in fibre drums with secure fitting lid.

Store at room temperature (15 - 30 °C) in the original

container. Mechanical exhaust ventilation is required. Keep

tightly closed, away from heat, spark and flame.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Store in double polyethylene liners, inside fibre drum with

secure fitting lid
