First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash with water for at least 5 minutes. If irritation

develops, seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. If irritation

develops, seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbondioxide, dry powder may be used. Since86%

of formulated ink consists of water, there is no danger of

fire.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,

nitrogen and sulfur.

Protective equipment: Protective clothing should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1) Large spills

should be recovered, placed in an appropriate container and

disposed of at a licenced facility. Small spills can be

mopped up with a floor cloth or paper tissue. Ventilate area

and spill site.

Handling and storage

Handling: Workers should wear gloves, goggles and coveralls.

Storage: Store in suitably labelled containers at room temperature.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Preparation: Packaged in 50 and 200 litre containers.

Containers are made of steel or polythylene plastic.
