Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Seek medical attention, symptomatic treatment
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse promptly with water
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention, symptomatic treatment
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Suitable extinguishing agents are water mist, carbon dioxide
and foam.
Product arising from burning: Combustion products may contain carbon, nitrogen and sulfur
oxides.
Product determined by test: N
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Sweep up and transfer to waste containers for disposal at an
approved landfill site. Solutions should be absorbed using
sand or other suitable absorbent, swept up and transferred
to waste containers for disposal at an approved landfill
site.
Handling and storage
Handling: Normal standards of good housekeeping to avoid ingestion,
skin and eye contact and inhalation of dust. The substance
will be handled as an aqueous dispersion or as granules in a
well ventilated area. If dust is generated, use a suitable
respirator (eg BS 6016).
Storage: No special precautions.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Not given, 6th amendment notification.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery is not economically possible
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous effects.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at an approved landfill site is possible. If
neccessary in an emergency, discharge to running waters at a
concentration of less than or equal to 100 mg/litre is
possible.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be destroyed by incineration under
controlled conditions (temperatures >950 deg C). Waste gas
purification to remove nitrogen and sulphur oxides should be
used.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is virtually insoluble in water and will be
eliminated by absorption on sludge. For anaerobic digestion,
the concentration of substance in the liquid flow should not
exceed 1 mg/litre.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
