Y-4036 is not readily biodegradable and a partition coefficient of Log Kow = 4.6 at 23°C was determined. Based on acute toxicity data for fish (LC50 = 42.3 mg/L), aquatic invertebrates (EC50 = 58 mg/L) and algae (ECr50 = ca. 90 mg/L and ECb50 = 36 mg/L) classification as Aquatic Chronic Cat. 3, H412 is warranted.
