Two tests on biodegradation in water were performed on test item CA 2342 A. In 1996, Ciba, Switzerland, performed a test on ready biodegradability (DOC die-away-test) on the test item CA 2342 A. In 2005, laboratories of RCC, Switzerland, performed a test on inherent biodegradability (Zahn-Wellens-Test). Contact time was 28 days in both tests.
The test item was not readiliy biodegradable in the DOC die-away test, nor did it show inherent biodegradibility in the Zahn-Wellens-Test.
