First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If irritation develops, seek medical

attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Hold eye lid open and flush immediately with large amount

of water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation develops,

seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Brush from skin, wash contaminated area with mild soap and

water. If irritation develops, seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: If ingested seek medical attention. Never give anything by

mouth to an unconscious person.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Chemical foam, dry chemical, CO2

Product arising from burning: Carbonoxides and toxic fumes.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear self contained breathing apparatus with full face-

piece operated in pressure-demand/positive-pressure mode.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear protective equipment (safety goggles, impervious

gloves, in case of dust formation/fumes respirator with

organic vapor cartridge).

Stop leak at source, dike area, sweep and shovel material

to reclaim container. Vacuum remaining material into

disposal container. Prevent material from entering water-

way.

Handling and storage

Handling: Routine hygienic procedures are sufficient to protect man

and environment. Avoid dust generation or accumulation.

Do not wear contaminated clothing. Wash prior to eating,

smoking, or use of restroom and when leaving work. Do not

dispose of material or empty container to the environment.

Prevent static charge when handling the material.

Storage: The substance should be stored in well sealed, unbreakable

containers not above 66°C. Do not store near heat or open

flame. Keep away from oxidizers, acids, moisture and

water. Avoid dust residues outside the containers.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance is packed in 50 kg fiber drums.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Incompatible with oxidizers, acids, moisture and water.

Chemical reaction with water: Hydrolysis reaction.

Dust explosion: If the substance is handled under good industrial hygiene

measures (avoid dust formation/accumulation and prevent

static charges), dust explosion is not to be expected.

Dust explosion determined by test: N
