persists, seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products contain carbon and nitrogen oxides and
soot. Suitable extinguishing agents are water spray and
carbon dioxide.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Sweep up by mechanical means (eg vacuum cleaner) and put in
containers for disposal by incineration. Clean contaminated
area with plenty of water.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance may be recovered for reuse by filtration or
by extraction with toluene

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous effects

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a landfill site is possible

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method of disposal. Waste gas treatment should
be used to remove nitrogen oxides

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is only very slightly soluble in water. It is
not readily biodegradable and may be recovered by
filtration

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from paper is not possible

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous effects

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Paper containing the substance may be disposed of as for
domestic waste
