Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with plenty of water, symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water, symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink plenty of water, symptomatic treatment.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Suitable extinguishing media are foam, carbon dioxide, dry

powder, or water.

Product arising from burning: Combustion products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides

together with some hydrogen chloride gas.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear full protective equipment and a self-contained

breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from the immediate vicinity. Wear

suitable protective equipment (cf 2.3.1). Avoid dust

formation, dampen down with water. Collect waste by

mechanical means (eg industrial vacuum cleaner) and place

into waste containers for disposal at a controlled landfill

site or incineration facility. Clean the spillage site with

water and detergent.

Handling and storage

Handling: Handle under conditions of good industrial hygiene, in

conformity with any local regulations in order to avoid

exposure. Use engineering controls to minimise exposure. If

exposure cannot be adequately controlled, use personal

protective equipment, eye protection (eg goggles), chemical

resistant gloves and protective clothing (eg impervious

apron).

If respiratory equipment is required, a dust mask conforming

to EN 149 (with FFP1 or greater) should be used.

Storage: Store at ambient temperature in the dark. A suitable

container is a sealed polyethylene bag in a carton (10 kg).

Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No chemical treatment is practicable to neutralise the known

hazardous property.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance may be disposed of at a controlled landfill

site. (A650)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Disposal at an authorised facility equipped with waste gas

treatment to remove nitrogen oxides and hydrogen chloride is

possible. (A661)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from coated film is not feasible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: No applicable for film coated with the substance.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Film coated with the substance may be disposed of at a

controlled landfill site. (C650)

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Coated film is not expected to be sent for incineration.

However, if it is, an authorised facility equipped with

waste gas treatment to remove nitrogen oxides and hydrogen

chloride should be used. (C661)

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable.
