Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Executive summary:

The test item EXP0700332 has been determined to be non-hazardous, using a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A12 Flammability (Contact with Water) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

Description of key information

The test item has been determined to be non-hazardous as no gases were evolved in any of the four steps. Additionally, the flashpoint was experimentally determined to be >200 degrees Celsius, not giving indications of flammability. Consideration of the chemical structure, experience in handling and use also suggest that the material is non-hazardous.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The test item has been determined to be non-hazardous as no gases were evolved in any of the four steps. Additionally, the flashpoint was experimentally determined to be >200 degrees Celsius, not giving indications of flammability. Consideration of the chemical structure, experience in handling and use also suggest that the material is non-hazardous.

Justification for classification or non-classification

As no gases were formed in any of the four steps, the test item has been determined as non-hazardous and therefore no hazard classification is required. Moreover, from the compositional description and the structural formula given, it can be concluded that the substance is not flammable. There are no functional groups associated with flammability. Furthermore, the material's flash point is > 200 degree Celsius, and, thus, greater than the classification threshold of 60 degree Celsius. Therefore, no hazard classification is required for flammability under the terms of CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/ 2008.
