Details on results:
24h EC50 of K2Cr2O7 was determined at 0.79mg/L
Immobilisation in the controls was 10% at he most
The lowest concentration of dissolved oxygen at the end of the test was 8.4mg/L
The highest pH variation was 0.7 units.
The study can be considered valid
Results with reference substance (positive control):
24h EC50 of K2Cr2O7 was determined at 0.79 mg/L
Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
24h NOEC= 100mg/L
48h NOEC= 100mg/L
24h EC50i> 100mg/L
48h EC50> 100 mg/L
Executive summary:

This study was performed in order to evaluate the toxic potential of Lipacide UG towards freshwater shrimp, using species Daphnia magna. D magna STRAUSS, which belongs to the family of crustacea, was chosen in the guideline as a typical part of zoo-plancton.

Twenty daphnia were exposed to the test item for 48 hours in a static test system. After 24 and 48 hours, the immobilised daphnia were counted.

No animals were immobilised in the control. 10% of the animals were immobilised in the treatment, which was stated as not significant.

The 24h-EC50i of potassium dichromate was tested in a current reference test, the value was determined at 0.79mg/L, lying within the demanded range of 0.6 -2.1 mg/L.

at the start and at the end of the test, the content of the test item in the test solutions was determined. the recovery after 48 hours was 97% of the start concentration, the correlation between nominal and measured concentration was very good. Therefore, the determination of the biological results was based on the nominal concentration.

24h NOEC= 100mg/L

48h NOEC= 100mg/L

24h EC50i > 100mg/L

48h EC50i > 100 mg/L
