Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to daphnids, no acute toxic effects occur within the range of water solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The toxicity to daphnids was tested in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 202 (RCC Ltd. 2004). Due to the low water solubility of the test substance a limit test with an undiluted filtrate of a supersaturated dispersion with the maximum concentration of dissolved test item has been conducted. No acute toxic effects occurred within the range of water solubility and the loading rate of 100 mg/L. Therefore, the test substance is with high probability acutely not harmful to daphnids.

A second GLP guideline study according to OECD 202 (CIBA-GEIGY Ltd. 1991d). has been conducted earlier. The study has been disregarded due to the use of emulsifier and the precipitation of the test item after contact with test water. However, the determined EC0 was already above the water solubility of the test item of < 0.019 mg/L. Therefore, no toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

The competent authorities already agreed to regard this study as not reliable.
