Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, foam, dry powder or water mist may be used.
Water is not recommended.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing. Contain and absorb spill
using sand or another inert material. Transfer to labelled
containers and dispose in accordance with
national/local regulations. Wash spill site with water.
Avoid discharge to watercourses.

Handling and storage

Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic
chemicals. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation and
contact with skin and eyes.

Protective clothing, eye/face protection and rubber gloves
should be worn.

Storage: Store in sealed containers away from heat sources and
protected from extremes of temperatures.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The import containers will be drums containing perfume
preparations which in turn will contain the notified
substance.

These containers are usually tightly closed lacquered drums
