Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. If signs/symptoms develop, get

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with large amounts of water. If signs/symptoms

persist, get medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water. If signs/symptoms

develop, get medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: No need for first aid is anticipated.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Substance is not flammable.

Product arising from burning: Burning products may contain hydrogen fluoride, carbon mon-

oxide, carbon dioxide, ammonia and nitrogen oxides.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear inherent protection suit including helm, breathing

protection (overpressure), closed jacket and trousers, arm,

waist and leg protection, face mask.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Unprotected persons must be kept away.

Ventilate the area with fresh air.

Contain spill. For larger spills, cover drains and build di-

kes to prevent entry into sewer systems or bodies of water.

Working from around the edges of the spill inward, cover

with commercially available inorganic absorbent material.

Mix in sufficient absorbent until it appears dry.

Collect as much of the spilt material as possible.

Clean up residue with water. Collect the resulting residue

containing solution.

Place in a metal container which must be tightly closed and

labelled according to TRGS 201.

Dispose of according to local regulations.

Avoid any contact with the spilt product or contaminated

surfaces.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (see section

'Handling').

Handling and storage

Handling: All working methods must always be designed so that exposure

by skin contact is minimized. Eye contact and breathing of

vapors, mists or spray are to be avoided. Do not breathe

thermal decomposition products.

Where possible, use closed equipment during filling, metered

feeding, and sampling.

In the case of handling the substance in open systems, ex-

tract any vapours, mists or spray which might form, directly

at the point of origin.

If technical extraction or ventilation measures are not pos-

sible or are insufficient, suitable respiratory protection

(e.g. :::) should be worn.

To avoid skin contact, tested protective gloves (e. g. :::)

and, if applicable, suitable protective clothing have to be

worn.

Safe eye protection (e.g. safety goggles, EN166) should be

worn, too.

Adequate washing facilities and conspicuously labelled eye-

douche stations should be provided in the immediate vicini-

ty of the working area.

After contact with the skin, the affected parts of the body

should be thoroughly cleaned instantly using soap and water.

Special skin-protection and skin-care measures are recom-

mended.

Wash hands and face before breaks and immediately after

handling the product.

A skin-protection plan should be drawn up.

Storage: Store the substance in the original containers.

Keep them tightly closed and secure them against falling by

taking the appropriate measures.

Avoid residues on the outside of the containers.

Store away from heat and from strong bases.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Polyethylene canister or polyethylene can, respectively.

bustion, thermal sewage handling, anions exchange.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Exhaust air combustion.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The sewage will be delivered to a physical and biological

handling apparatus.
