Executive summary:

The determination of the relative self-ignition temperature of the test item was performed according to the EEC Directive 92/69, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico chemical properties, A.16 "Relative self-ignition temperature for solids", EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992. Applying a linear increase in temperature of about 0.5 °C/min, FAT 40812/A showed an exothermic reaction starting at about 350 °C. A maximum temperature of 505.9 °C was measured in the sample cube during the exothermic reaction. At the end of the measurement, the test item was carbonized showing a light greyish surface. FAT 40812/A shows a relative self-ignition temperature of about 342 °C. In conclusion, FAT 40812/A is auto-flammable under the conditions of the test.
