Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The long-term toxicity test to aquatic invertebrates (Caspers & Müller, 1998) performed according to OECD 211 and GLP was rated with RL=2 (reliable with restrictions) and used as a key study. At test concentrations of 0.316 and 0.1 mg test item/L, significant effects could not be observed.

The EC10 value is estimated at >1 mg/L (nominal for reproduction and immobilitsation effects) as a mean reproduction of 92.3 % was observed at the highest tested concentration of 1 mg/L. The No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) and the Lowest Observed Effect Concentration (LOEC) were as follows:

NOEC: 0.316 mg/L (nominal)

LOEC: 1 mg/L (nominal).
