Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The boiling temperature range of the substance was determined to be 275 - 349°C (548 - 622 K) at 1013 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

There are no reliable measured boiling point data for the registration substance.

Hydrocarbons, C16-C22, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, <2% aromatics has a measured boiling range of 275-349°C (548 -622 K) at 1013 hPa using the distillation method. Full study details are not available therefore reliability could not be assigned to these data.

Reliable data are, however, available for related substances in the relevant carbon number range, including other Fischer-Tropsch process-derived substances.

In OECD 103 studies using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), which were conducted in compliance with GLP, Hydrocarbons, C15-C19, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, <2% aromatics (GTL Solvent GS270) and Hydrocarbons, C18-C24, isoalkanes, <2% aromatics (GS310) had measured boiling ranges of 289 - 307°C (562 - 582 K) and 338 - 3668°C (611 - 640 K) at 101.8 kPa respectively. The results are considered to be reliable and are used as weight of evidence.
