in an eye irritation study of undiluted NPE solution at a dose of 0.1 mL, NPE solution was applied to the conjunctival sacs of New Zealand White rabbits and symptoms were observed. NPE with EO chain length of 2 to 15 induced moderate to severe irritation. NPE with EO chain length of 30 and more induced no irritation
