Description of key information

According to structural properties, hydrolysis is not expected/probable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to the chemical structure of the analogous substance 2,2'-dimethyl-4,4'-methylene bis(cyclohexylamine) (DMD)and the substance of this dossier hydrolysis is not likely to occur under environmental conditions based on a lack of functional groups which may hydrolyse (SIDS Initial Assessment Report of DMD for SIAM 13, 2001). Therefore, it is concluded that hydrolysis is not an important process in the fate of 3,3’,5,5’-tetramethyl-4,4’-diaminodicyclohexylmethane.
