Justification for classification or non-classification

The flash point of the test item was determined according to the NF EN ISO 3679 and the NF EN ISO 2719 methods. No flash point was observed with any of the two methods. The test item is not classified as flammable liquid, but vapours that are generated by the test item can lead to an explosive atmosphere (ATEX) when in mixtures with air in confined spaces.

The test item is not classified as substance which, in contact with water, emit flammable gases, since: 1- The chemical structure of the substance does not contain metals or metalloids, and 2- Experience in handling and use shows that the substance does not react with water (the substance contains water).

The test item is not classified as pyrophoric liquid since experience in manufacture or handling shows that the liquid does not ignite spontaneously on coming into contact with air at normal temperatures (i.e. the liquid is known to be stable at room temperature for prolonged periods of time (days)).
