Description of key information

Additional information

The test material is a dark brown viscous liquid with the following physico chemical characteristics:

Freezing point: below -20°C, or 253.15K.

No boiling point was determined since the test material decomposes above 346-368°C.

Density: 1.353 at 20°C.

Vapour pressure: 1223.6 Pa at 20°C.

Water solubility: 582.6 g/L at 20°C.

Surface tension: 61.30 mN/m, the test item is not considered to have surface active properties.

Flash point: No flash point was observed with any of the two methods implemented. The test item is not classified as flammable liquid, but vapours that are generated by the test item can lead to an explosive atmosphere (ATEX) when in mixtures with air in confined spaces.

Viscosity: from 3000 to 11000 mPa.s at 20°C and from 500 to 2000 mPa.s at 40°C.

Particle size distribution, partition coefficient, autoflammability, flammability in contact with water, pyrophoric properties, explosiveness, oxidising properties, stability in organic solvents and dissociation constant have been waived for different reasons explained in each corresponding sections.
