Description of key information

The substance is not readily biodegradable but in one of the tests done a 23% of degradation was observed after 14 days. It means that the substance will be degraded slowly in the environment.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

One test from 1993 done according to OECD Guideline 301B gave the result of "not readily biodegradable" (23% degradation, 14d)

One test to determine BOD and COD: it was only possible to determine COD (2.77 mgO2/l). The results were not considered valid for classification.

One test from 1998 done according to a MITI Test method gave the result of "not readily biodegradable" (0% degradation, 14d)
