Description of key information

Surface tension: key study:the substance is not surface active because its surface tension is greater than 60 mN/m.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Key study: experimental result from a study report, according to EU Method A.5 and OECD guideline 115.

The test substance is not stable to hydrolysis and degrades rapidly. Therefore the surface tension mainly of the degradation products of the test substance was determined. According to the EC Directive, Zirkonium-tetrakis(isobutyrato) is not surface active because its surface tension is greater than 60 mN/m.
