N,N-dimethylbutylamine was readily biodegradable in a valid OECD 301B study (LAUS, 2012). This result is in line with that of an earlier study for inherent biodegradation (BASF, 1984). Adsorption to the inoculum was not observed. In summary, Dimethylbutylamine is considered to be readily biodegradable and to show no absorption to organic material. Consequently it is considered to be readily removed from the aqueous compartment.
