Description of key information

THPC-urea is inherent biodegradable to its much less toxic primary metabolites.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
inherently biodegradable, fulfilling specific criteria

Additional information

The Zahn-Wellens test with THPC-urea shows no degradation in terms of DOC, but with 31P-NMR the complete degradation of the test item to its primary metabolites after the first 14 days can be shown.
