Description of key information

For Flammability the test item was tested without pre-treatment. The test item could not be ignited with a flame. The test item showed only a brief flaring during the application of the ignition source. The performance of the main test was not necessary.
Due to the absence of structural alerts, it is highly unlikely that the substance K-36 has pyrophoric properties.
Furthermore, in the daily use and handling of K-36 during which continuous exposure to air can occur, no spontaneous ignition is observed.

non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test item is not a highly flammable solid in the sense of the European Commision Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.10.

Based on the absence of structural alerts and the use experience with K-36, it can be concluded that K-36 is not classified as pyrophoric according to CLP criteria.
