First-aid measures

Eye contact.  Do not delay in case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and  seek medical advice.

Skin contact. Remove contaminated clothing. Immediately flush skin with water for at leasst 15 minutes. Follwed by washing with soap and water, if     irritation occurs get medical attention.

Inhalation. Remove individual to fresh air and provide oxygen if breathing is difficult. Give artificial respiration if not breathing and then give medical attention.

Ingestion. If swallowed do not induce vomiting: seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.

Fire-fighting measures

Fire hazards. May react violently when mixed with strong oxidising agents. Dry silver oxylate above 140 deg C can produce an exothermic                  decomposition to metal and carbon dioxide and become readily explosive. THe explosion temperature of silver oxylate is lowered appreciabily by      application of an electric field.

Extinguishing media: use water fog, foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

Protective measures.  Wear full protective clothing and a NIOSH approved self contained breathing apparatus iof material is in fire area.

Accidental release measures

Precautionary measures: DANGER. Corrosive. Avoid contact with material. Wear gloves, goggles and protective clothing to avoid exposure.  Wear a NIOSH approved respirator if there is a possibility of exposures above the established occupatinal exposure limits.  In accordance with 29CFR 1910.134 use either an atmosphere-supplying respirator or an air-purifying respirator for , particulates and sulphur dioxide.

Spill Management: contain and recover spilled material, then place in a labelled, sealble container for subsequnt safe disposal.  Do not wash spills into sewers or other public water systems.

Spill Disposal:  Under EPA RCRA (40 CFR 261.22).  If this product becomes a waste material, it may be a corrosive hazardous waste if in the presence. of water; hazardous waste number D002. refer to latest EPA or state regulations regarding proper disposal  and to determine if there are any reporting requirements.

Environmental compliance: refer to latest state or local regualtions to determine if there are disposal or reporting requirements.

Handling and storage

Handling recommendatons: Avoid contact with material. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection.  In case of insufficient ventilatin, wear suitable respitratory equipment.  When using do not eat, drink or smoke.

Storage recommendations: keep container tightly closed.  store material in a cool, dry place.
