ETD was determined to boil at 260°C, with possible decomposition.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
260 °C

Additional information

A boiling point determination was conducted as part of a package of physico-chemical testing for ETD (Huntingdon Life Sciences, 2010, Study number VHJ0011). The testing was conducted in compliance with GLP, and the boiling point determination was performed according to OECD test guideline 103 and EC Guideline method A2.

ETD was found to boil at 260°C. A faint yellow colour was noted in the samples at boiling, indicating possible decomposition.
