The test material received from F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd was a white solid powder from lot no. 25927 with a purity of 99.8%.

The water solubility of PTH-decahydroamide (Ro 31-9373/000) was determined to be 1.65 g/L at 20 ⁰C using the flask method.

A tendency to increasing values of water solubility was noticed from the results of days 1, 2 and 3. Therefore vessel 3 was equilibrated for a further fourth day. The water solubility value for the fourth day was not significant different to the value obtained on day 2. An average was therefore generated for the last three experimental days. The results are reported in the table below;
