Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The adsorption potential of phosphoric acid, potassium salt (2:3) is assumed to be low

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The current methods used for the determination of the adsorption potential of a certain substance are not suitable for phosphoric acid, potassium salt (2:3), dihydrate. Neither OECD Guideline No. 121, Estimation of the Adsorption Coefficient (Koc ) on Soil and on Sewage Sludge using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), nor the Estimation Programs Interface (EPI) SuiteTM (US EPA and Syracuse Research Corporation, 2009) have been validated for inorganic substances. Inorganic soluble salts will exist in a dissociated form in aqueous solutions and as such, the adsorption potential will be low. Based on this information, testing for this endpoint is considered scientifically unjustified.
