Fire-fighting measures

General information: Wear breathing apparatus plus protective gloves for fire only. Cool fire exposed containers with water spray from a protected location. If safe to do so, remove containers from path of fire. Combustion may produce toxic fumes.
Extinguishing media: Water spray; alcohol-resistant foam; dry chemical; carbon dioxide
Combustion Products: Carbon oxides (COX); Sulfur dioxide (SO2); Hydrofluoric acid (HF); Hydriodic acid (HI)
Special firefighting procedures: No data available

Accidental release measures

Personal Precautions:
Wear protective equipment. (refer to section 8.)
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Keep away from ignition sources.
Small Spill:
Contain and absorb spill with sand, earth, inert material or vermiculite, wipe up. Place in a suitable labelled container for waste disposal.
Large Spill:
Clear area of personnel and move upwind.
Alert Fire Brigade and tell them location and nature of hazard.
Wear breathing apparatus plus protective gloves.
Stop leak if safe to do so.
If the product is in its solid form: Use a shovel to put the material into a convenient waste disposal container. If the product is in its liquid form: A bsorb with DRY earth, sand or other non-combustible material.
Prevent, by any means available, spillage from entering drains or water course.
Prevent entry into sewers, basements or confined areas; dike if needed.
Environmental protection:
Do not allow material to be released to the environment without proper government permits.

Handling and storage

Handing Precautions:
Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places.
Do not breathe dust/gas/fumes/vapours/spray. Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing.
Wash hand after handing.
Keep away from sources of ignition. Protect against electrostatic charges.
Handle and store according to labeled instructions.
Keep away from incompatibles.

► General information: Keep container tightly sealed.
