Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Daphnia magna was exposed under static conditions for 48 h to one concentration (100 mg/L) of the substance. No toxic effect was observed. (Weyers, 2005).

Additional information

"Should read: > 100 mg/l"

The acute toxicity of the substance to invertebrates (Dapnia magna) was conducted in a static immobilisation test according to EU Method C.2 (Acute Toxicity for Daphnia) which is equivalent to OECD Guideline for Testing of Chemicals No. 202 'Daphnia sp., Acute Immobilisation Test'. After 48 hours of exposure an EC0 of ≥100 mg/L was obtained, consequently the EC50 is > 100 mg/L. The results are expressed in terms of nominal concentrations as no analytical monitoring was performed. This toxicity study is classified as acceptable and satisfies the guideline requirements for the acute Daphnia study.
