Description of key information
No melting point could be observed for Ca/Mg-salt of fumarated Tall Oil Rosin.

Determination of the melting point was conducted accoriding to the following procedure: Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) / Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC):
It was not possible to perform the test in a closed aluminium crucible. Due to the temperature reached during the heating process the crucible was opened at the end of the test. A measurement in a glass crucible was made according to method 2011-0343801-92D. With this test, as well as with the open aluminium crucible test (see point 9.1.4), no melting point of the test item up to a temperature of 400°C was observed.
