Description of key information

The Koc of (hydroxyethyl)urea was calculated with KocWin v2.00 using the measured Log Kow value as starting point. Log Koc values calculated was 0.3062 L/kg.

Additional information

The adsorption coefficient (KOC) on soil and on sewage sludge was calculated using the measured log Kow of -1.8 using the KocWIN v 2.00 QSAR which is part of the EPIsuite estimation software. A Koc of 0.31 is used to calculate the Kd (= Kp) values for soil, sediment and suspended sediment of resp 0.0062, 0.0155 and 0.031 L/kg. The corresponding soil-water, sediment-water and suspended matter-water partition coefficients are resp. 0.209, 0.808 and 0.908 m3/m3.

The Kp and partition coefficients will be used for risk assessment.
