PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

(hydroxyethyl)urea does not meet the criteria for P/vP, B/vB and T based on criteria laid down in Annex XIII of REACH.

Persistence assessment

(Hydroxyethyl)urea was observed to be readily biodegradable in an OECD 301B test

Based on the screening criteria the substance considered as not P (or vP).

Bioaccumulation assessment

As the log Kow of the test substance (-1.8) is far below the screening cut-off level for 'B' (log Kow = 4.5), the substance is not considered to be B (or vB).

Toxicity assessment

The test substance does not meet the criteria for being Toxic (lowest NOEC is >1 mg/L; not classified for human toxicity endpoints), the substance is not considered to be 'T'.

Likely routes of exposure:

As N-(1,1,3,3 -tetramethylbytul)acrylamide is not considered as a PBT or vPvB substance, the likely routes of exposure are not further assessed.
