Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The following EC10 values were determined, based on mean measured concentrations: (1) hatchability: 1.93 mg/L (95% C.I.: 1.14 to 2.70), (2) mortality of fry not determined, NOEC: 0.25 mg/L, (3) fish body weight: 0.19 mg/L (C.I. not determined).

Additional information

The NOEC (30 days) body weight is selected for the chemical safety assessment, since it is the most sensitive endpoint.

The analytical results obtained during the study showed that the substance was instable within 3 days of exposure, under testing conditions, and depending on the test concentration. Hence, time weighted averages were calculated based on HPLC measurements of freshly prepared and solutions aged for maximum 3 days: 0, 0.13, 0.25, 0.71 2.42 and 6.16 mg/L. These values correspond to 33%, 28%, 36%, 54% and 62% of the nominal concentrations. The suitability of the analytical method was verified by using QC samples at 0.1 and 10 mg/L, which showed recoveries of 92.8 (0.1 mg/L) to 94.5% (10 mg/L). Furthermore, recoveries of freshly prepared solution at test start and each re-newal were between 72.5% and 91.4%.
