Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The biodegradation behavior of Y-15864 (CAS 76524-94-2) was investigated in a key study (Eisner, 2012). The study was performed according to OECD Guideline 301 B under GLP conditions. Activated sludge from a wastewater treatment plant was used as inoculum. Activated sludge microorganisms were exposed to a test substance concentration of 30.5 mg/L under aerobic conditions for 28 d. The result indicated that the test substance reached a mean degradation of 46% (CO2 evolution). The pass level of at least 60% biodegradation in a 10-day window was not reached. Therefore, the test substance is not readily biodegradable according to the OECD criteria. The toxicity control reached 60% biodegradation within 14 days of exposure and 67% after 28 d. The test item had no inhibitory effect on activated sludge microorganisms at the tested concentration of 31 mg/L because biodegradation in the toxicity control was≥ 25% within 14 days of incubation.
