Description of key information
This test requirement is waived based on the ready biodegradability and low potential for soil adsorption of any of the principal components of the test material.

Dipropylene glycol methyl ether, tripropylene glycol monomethyl ether and sodium methanolate (as methanol) are readily biodegradable in freshwater with a low potential for adsorption to soil. According to REACH Annex IX requirements, soil simulation testing shall only be considered for substances with a high potential for adsorption to soil and need not be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable, hence a simulation test in soil can be waived for the reaction mass of DPM, TPM, and sodium methylate.
