Additional information

A hydrolysis half-life of above 8760 hours at pH 4,7,9and 25 has been reported for this substance (BDP).The test was based on Method C.7 of directive 92/69/EEC.

The degradation of BDP does not occur under the conditions of the standard test for ready biodegradability. The toxicity controls did not show any inhibitory effect. BDP does not rapidly biodegraded under natural conditions in river water, in sediment as well as in soils due to lack of more information about degradation.

BDP has a BCF of no more than 120 according to the bioaccumulation test, therefore it is not expected to bioaccumulate in aquatic organisms.

The Log Koc value of the BDP is 4.53 according to the HPLC screening method for the determination of the adsorptionto coefficient on soil-comparison of different stationary phases.
