Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 (9.2.1.2) of REACH (Regulation 1907/2006/EC) Annex IX, simulation testing on biodegradation in water and sediment is not needed as the substance is readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in freshwater:
15 d
at the temperature of:
12 °C
Half-life in freshwater sediment:
3 000 d
at the temperature of:
12 °C

Additional information

In the absence of measured half-life's in surface water and sediment, the default half-life's based on ready biodegradability and a Kd of 2010 L/kg are used as a worst-case for risk assessment.
