Determination of the flammability of charcoal was conducted according to EU A.10 test method and under GLP compliance.

The test item glowed in the flame, partly with red heat. It was noted that the substance did not start burning. There was no ignition. After 2 min, the burner was taken away. The glowing continued for approx. 2 -3 min and died then. A grey residue was observed.

Since ignition did not occur within 2 min, the test item was classified as not flammable.
