Details on results:
For the test item, no reduction of the O2 concentration was observed. Throughout the experiment not any O2 uptake were measured.
The degradation of the toxicity control showed about the same run as the procedure control indicating that the concentration of the test item had no inhibitory effect.

BOD5 / COD results

Results with reference substance:
The percentage degradation of the reference compound has reached the pass level of 60 per cent on day 5.
The residual concentration of oxygen did not fall below 0.5 mg/I.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
In the present study not any oxygen uptake by the test item was measured. The pass level for ready biodegradation (60 per cent degradation) was notreached. For this reason in the test for ready biodegradability the test item seems to be not readily biodegradable.
