Acute Toxicity Study in Daphnia Magna with FR -513 (static)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water invertebrates

Fresh water invertebrates
Effect concentration:
64 mg/L

Additional information

An acute toxicity test was performed in Daphnia magna . The daphnia were exposed to a concentration range of 0.1 to 100 mg/L of FR-513 (range finding test) . All daphnia exposed to nominal conc. of 100 mg/l became immobilised within 24 hours. The project was continued with the main test exposing daphnia to blank-control and a nominal conc. of 10, 18, 32, 56 and 100 mg/l FR-513 for 48 hr. FR-513 did not induced acute immobilisation at nominal conc. of 32 mg/l after 48 hr of exposure. The 48 hr EC50 was based on nominal concentrations was 64 mg/l (95% confidence interval between 58 and 75 mg/l).
