First-aid measures

After inhalation: Remove from exposure to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid in case of prolonged exposure.
After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. Immediately remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse. Call a physician if adverse symptoms appears.
After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water for at least 15 minutes with the eyelid held wide open. Call a physician if adverse symptoms appears.
After swallowing: Wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious. Do NOT induce vomiting. Call a physician if adverse symptoms appears.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing agents: For small fires, use media such as foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide. For large fires, use media such as foam, dry chemical, carbon dioxide or water.
Special hazards caused by the material, its products of combustion or resulting gases: Emits toxic fumes under fire conditions.
Protective equipment: Wear self-contaminated breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.

Accidental release measures

Scoop material and place in a suitable container. Use soap and water to clean the area, absorb with paper towel or other appropriate media. Water temperature should be below 45°C due to iodine vaporization. Keep product out of drains, prevent entry to surface water, ground water and soil.

Handling and storage

Avoid inhalation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure.
Keep tightly closed. Store in a cool, dry place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Ventilation system: Provide local exhaust ventilation. Ventilation equipment should be explosion-proof if explosive concentrations of dust or fumes are present.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Respiratory protection: required. Any self-contained breathing apparatus that has a full face-piece and is operated in a pressure-demand or other positive pressure mode.
Eye protection: required. Maintain eye wash fountain and quick-drench facilities in work area.
Hand protection: required.

Stability and reactivity

Chemical stability: Stable
Incompatibilities with Other Materials: Strong oxidizing agents.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen fluoride,
hydrogen chloride and nitrogen oxides.
Hazardous Polymerization: Will not occur.
