- Executive summary:
- In a preliminary visual assessment of water
solubility, the test item (at a concentration of 0.8 mg/l in water) was
shaken for approximately 3 hours at a temperature of 30ºC.
The resulting solution contained fine particles of the test item which
indicated the water solubility of the test item to be less than 1 mg/l.
Thus the surface tension of the test item was not determined as Method A5
of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of
30 May 2008, states substances with a water solubility of less than 1 mg/l need not be tested for surface tension.
