Description of key information

The test substance is a liquid at 20 °C and 101.3 kPa. According to ECHA guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance, the primary value for ease of ignition in liquids is the flash point. The flash point of the test substance has been determined using Method A9 ‘Flash Point Method’ of Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008.

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The flash point of the test material was determined to be 126.891 °C at 101.325 kPa, rounded to 127 ± 2 °C, according to Method A9 ‘Flash Point Method’ of Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008. Therefore, the test item does not need classifying as a flammable liquid according to the criteria described in Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
