Description of key information

MMB-AC is a small aliphatic ester with a molecular weight of 160.21 g/mol. It is soluble in water up to 58.3 g/L at 20°C with a partition coefficient (Log Kow) of 1.6 at 25°C and a vapour pressure of 258 Pa at 25°C. With these physical/chemical properties, oral, dermal and inhalation are all potential absorption routes. Once absorbed, MMB-AC is likely to be rapidly metabolized by Phase I hydrolysis reactions and possible Phase II conjugation. Both unchanged parent and metabolites are likely to be excreted as polar substances in the urine, faeces, and/or expired air. Therefore, bioaccumulation is unlikely.
