First-aid measures

General information: In case of any contact with the product and if the symptoms persist, seek medical advice.

Inhalation: Remove person from exposure. Give oxygen or artificial respiration when needed.
Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash the skin with plenty of water and soap. If skin irritation persists, consult a physician.
Eyes: Wash eyes thoroughly with water. Seek medical attention.

Ingestion: Seek medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
Self-protection of the first aider: Safety goggles / mask, safety gloves, respiratory protection equipment
Information to physician: Symptoms as a result of ingestion, respiratory tract irritation, severe skin or eye irritation are indicators of the immediate medical attention and special treatment needed.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Dry powder, generated mechanical foam and chemical foam, finely dispersed water, inert gas or carbon dioxide, sand

Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: Do not use water jet.

Special exposure hazards arising from the substance or preparation itself, combustion products, resulting gases: The product decomposes at heating with the production of carbon dioxide (CAS 124-38-9). Carbon oxides decrease level of oxygen (О2) in air, cause toxic effect on cells, disrupting tissue respiration. Explosion hazard due to pressure buildup when containers or reservoirs with the product are exposed to fire. Vapour-air mixture may lead to explosion.

Personal protection equipment for firefighting: Use full protective suit and self-contained breathing apparatus.

General advice : Do not approach to containers. Cool the containers from a maximum distance. Do not direct water jet to the source of spillage. Remove all not-engaged personnel from the fire area. Settle vapors with finely dispersed water. Containers may explode at heating.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions : Avoid contact with spilled material. Immediately remove all contaminated clothes. Recommendations on the choice of personal protection equipment:
Respiratory protection: In usual working conditions - filter respirators. When filter respirators are not suitable (high airborne concentrations, risk of oxygen deficiency, constrained room) use respiratory equipment with air supply. Wear full face mask if respiratory protection is needed.

Hand protection: Use chemical resistant safety gloves. Glove material must be sufficiently impermeable and resistant to the substance. Check impermeability before use. Clean gloves well before taking off, keep in well ventilated place. Pay attention to skin care. Textile or leather gloves are unsuitable.
Suitability and durability of gloves depend on their use, that is frequency and duration of contact, chemical resistivity of gloves material, thickness of material, personnel experience. Always consult with gloves producer. Replace contaminated gloves.

Eye protection: Chemical closely fitting splash-proof goggles or full face protection.

Skin protection: Use appropriate safety clothes. If necessary, use splash-proof chemical protective clothing.

Be ready for ignition or explosion.
Stay windward, avoid low places.
Remove all possible sources of ignition.

Environmental precautions: Use appropriate containment means (for product and fire fighting water) to avoid environmental pollution. Prevent spreading and entering drains, sewers, surface waters using sand, soil, and other appropriate barriers. Disperse vapors or direct them to safe places using mist dispersion, for example. Take measures against static discharge. Prevent static discharges by binding and grounding all equipment.

Methods for cleaning up: Cover the liquid product spillage with sand or other absorbing material, collect using non-sparking tools to dedicated tight containers for cleaning or safe disposal. Remove contaminated soil and dispose safely.

Additional information: Inform emergency services in case the fluid product enters drains. Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air.
Inform local authorities in case of large spillage that cannot be contained.

Handling and storage

Handling:

Advice on safe handling:

Protective measures: Provide dilution-exhaust and local ventilation. Use sealed production equipment. Use only in areas with adequate ventilation.
Avoid vapor breathing.Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes. Extinguish any open flame. No smoking. Remove ignition sources. Avoid sparks.
Handling temperature: Ambient. Wash well after handling the product.

Technical measures:

Measures to prevent aerosol or dust generation: Provide dilution-exhaust and local ventilation. Use sealed production equipment. Use only in areas with adequate ventilation.

Measures required to protect the environment: Use sealed containers and piping for transportation and storage. Prevent product discharge to atmosphere and sewage.

Specific requirements or handling rules: Provide dilution-exhaust and local ventilation. Use sealed production equipment. Use only in areas with adequate ventilation. Provide personnel with working overalls and personal protection equipment. Authorized persons only. Do not eat or drink

Precautions against fire and explosion: Switch off power supply, ventilate the room, and remove sources of open flame. In case of large quantity of product spilled in constrained rooms, use inert gases. No smoking, avoid open flame and fire

Technical measures and storage conditions: Store away from aerosols, combustible materials, oxidizers, corrosive materials and other flammable products. Store in warehouses of I and II grade of fire resistance. Exclude direct contact with air.

Packing materials: Store in sealed containers or railway tank cars designed for petroleum products with inner anti-corrosive lining.

Requirements for storage rooms and vessels: Rooms must be equipped with dilution-exhaust ventilation or must be well aerated.

Further information on storage conditions: Do not store with oxidizers, acids, and alkalis, substances producing explosive mixtures, self-igniting substances and substances spontaneously igniting in contact with water and air, flammable and highly flammable substances, compressed and fluidized gases. Shelf life – 6 month from the date of manufacture.
