The short-term toxicity of Y-15866 to fish was investigated in two studies. The key study was performed according to OECD 203 (Liedtke, 2011) with zebra fish, Brachydanio rerio, exposed to a water accommodated fraction (WAF) with loading rate of nominal 139 mg/L (corresponding to 100 mg/L corrected for the impurities of the test item) under semi-static conditions. Substance specific analysis of the test item in the test medium was not possible due to the test substance characteristics (see IUCLID section 6.6 for further information). Instead, the total organic carbon (TOC) was measured as the sum parameter of the components of the test item to demonstrate the presence of the test item in the test medium. The substance is hydrolytically unstable. Therefore, this study also reflects the possible effects of the hydrolysis products. No mortality and no signs of intoxication were observed after 96 h. Therefore, this study resulted in a LL50 of > 139 mg/L. The NOELR was derived to be >= 139 mg/L. These results were supported by an additional study according to OECD 203 (Shi Lili, 2010). This study resulted in a LC50 of > 210 mg/L (nominal). The NOEC was derived to be >= 210 mg/L. In conclusion, Y-15866 and its hydrolysis products did not result in any short-term effects to fish.
