Additional information

According to a Mackay Level I model calculation, the main target compartment for tridecanedioic acid will be the hydrosphere (75.4 %) followed by sediment (12.3 %) and soil (12.2 %). It is expected that dissociation in the water phase will further increase its share significantly at the expense of the other compartments. The calculated Henry’s Law constant of 0.0000023 Pa m³/mol at 20 °C indicates very low volatility of tridecanedioic acid from surface waters. With a log Koc of 2.1 l/kg, a „very low“ sorption potential of the substance to soil or sediment organic matter is expected (Blume scale).
